In-Class Activities:

Task 1: Draw a Mind Map 

Please read the materials on "From Malthus to Sustainable Development" and then draw a mind map to study how the concerning on sustainable development came about (some intelletual underpinnings).


Task 2: Translate and Think 

Please do the English-Chinese translation and think about questions.

Task 3: Construct  Understanding 

 Please read the material on the definitions and descriptions for "sustainable development" which are collected from many references and give your own understanding to it.

Please have a group discussion on "nine  ways to achieve sustainability" with some detailed figure and boxes.
