Different Responses to Noise
In the building where I live we have a German professor and a Japanese professor. They are almost of the same age and both are considerate, patient and generous men. The motor for the heating system is close to the apartment where these two professors live. The noise from the motor almost ruined the year for the German professor. He finally asked to be moved to another room. The Japanese professor, as far as I know, never mentioned the noise from the heating system to anyone.
