第六章 Business etiquette and social custom（共4学时）

 

一、教学基本要求

In this chapter, you should be able to

        1. understand how cultural differences in social entertainment may affect intercultural

        2.  communication in terms of dining practices, seating arrangement, cocktail party as well as tipping

   3. understand how gift-giving practices vary from culture to culture and social customs

二、教学内容

       1. Introductions and greetings；

       2. Social Entertainment；

      3. Gift Giving and Receiving；

      4. Dressing Rules；

     5. Social Customs；

     6. Humor, Superstitions and Taboos

     7. Business Scheduling；

     8. Cases study.

三、重点和难点

重点：1. 中西方送礼习俗的不同；

    2. 中西方社会习俗的差异；

难点：1. 中西方幽默的传达和理解。

    2. 英汉谚语的互译。

 四、教学方法
