Give a Presentation on Helping in Your Community

Give a presentation based on what you have learned in this unit. Discuss what you think is the best way to contribute to the betterment of your local community. Please follow the steps and present your assignment to the class.


Step 1 Find a clue

Work in a group. You may ask your 2-3 partners the questions in the chart. Note down your and your partners' answers.


Step 2 Organize your ideas

Organize your notes, and then have a conversation with your partners to find out more details if necessary. List the topic and main supporting ideas for your presentation.

Topic sentence: I think that the best way to give back to my local community is by being a mentor to youth.

      Supporting idea 1: Mentoring young people helps them realize their potential. 

      Supporting idea 2: Being a mentor also allows people to learn more about themselves.                        Supporting idea 3: Mentoring helps you to develop your leadership skills.

Conclusion: In my opinion, being a mentor to a young person is the best way to contribute to the betterment of my community and havea lasting impact on the lives of others.
