Words and Phrases

1 ）    doubt /daʊt/ v. 怀疑（某事的真实性）

e.g. There seems no reason to doubt her story.  似乎没有理由怀疑她的故事。

2 ）    shy /ʃaɪ/ adj. 羞怯的；腼腆的；怕生的

e.g.She was too shy to askanyone for help.  她太腼腆，不愿向任何人求助。

3 ）    had better do sth. 应该，最好做某事

e.g.You’d better go to the doctor about yourcough.  你最好去找医生看看你的咳嗽。

4 ） buzz kill 煞风景的人或事情

             e.g.  Now comes the buzz kill.  如今，扫兴的事来了。
