He was saved by Forrest Gump in the Vietnam War, but got amputatedand was forced to leave his beloved career.Having no direction, no family, and no pillar, he felt Forrest Gump shouldn’t have saved him and he deserved a gloriousdeath on the battlefield. But Forrest again changed his life, and Dan regaineda courage and faith and stood up in the end.
