2. 教学基本要求

1) Make Ss be aware of a controversial problem with its probable causes and effects.

2) Make clear about the structure of Text I and have a good understanding of it.

3) Help Ss get a list of new words and structures and use them freely in conversation and writing.

4) Make Ss identify the topic sentences of some paragraphs and explain how some words are used at the beginning of a paragraph to make the coherence of the whole text.

 

3. 重点、难点 

重点：

 1) Key words and expressions;

 2) Understand the main idea and structure of the text;

 3) Discuss whether an only child necessarily means a lonely child.

 

难点：
