写作大赛全国决赛样题

全国决赛赛题包括看文字信息写作、看图表信息写作、看短文写作三类题型。每类题型样题及要求如下：

Part I 看文字信息写作 (25 points)

Instructions: Suppose you are Wang Ping, HR manager of ABC Company. Your company decides to promote Alice Zhao, who has been performing well in her job, to assistant sales manager. You need to draft a memo (of at least 200 words) to all staff about her promotion. Pay attention to the format of a memo and make sure you include the following points:

lthe reason for this memo;

la description of her new duties;

lan invitation to support Alice in her new position.

Part II  看图表信息写作 (40 points)

Instructions: Look at the charts below. The first chart shows the main reasons for study among students in different age groups. The second shows the amount of support that the different age groups receive from employers. Write a report (of at least 300 words) to describe the charts, analyze the possible causes reflected within, and make some predictions/suggestions/comments.

Part III 看短文写作 (35 points)

Instructions: Read the story, and write an essay (of at least 250 words) based on your understanding of it. Give your essay an appropriate title. Your essay should contain the following parts:

lan introduction which states your viewpoint;

la main body which presents evidence and examples to support your viewpoint;

la conclusion which restates your viewpoint.

Story:

In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge stone.

Some of the king’s merchants and officials came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a farmer came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, he laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. While picking up his load of vegetables, the farmer noticed a small bag lying on the road where the boulder had been.

The bag contained many gold coins and a note from the king indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the obstacle from the roadway.

省赛样题

写作大赛省赛赛题分为看文字信息写作和看图表信息写作两部分，写作时间共计120分钟。

Part I (40 points)

Directions: You are Justin Jia. You saw a job ad for an after-sales clerk on China Daily. You decide to apply for the job by email (of at least 200 words) to John Smith of WY E-commerce, the hiring manager. You should not include any real information about yourself in your writing. Your email should contain a salutation, a main body and a close. The body of your email should include the following points:

lintroduce yourself and express your interest in the position;

lprovide your qualifications and skills for the position;

lthank the hiring manager and ask for an interview.

Part II (60 points)

Directions: The charts below show the proportion of global electricity generated from different sources in 2022 and the proportion of global electricity expected to be generated from different sources in 2050. Write a report (of at least 300 words) to describe the charts, analyze the data, and make some comments/suggestions/predictions.

Directions: Suppose you are Elizabeth Wang, the sales manager of Sunoon Tech. You want to meet Mr. Charles Truss, the purchasing manager of your client Moontar Tech, to present one of your company’s new products. You decide to write an email (of at least 100 words) to make an appointment with him. You should not include any real information about yourself in your writing. Your email should contain the salutation, the body, and the complimentary close. The body of your email should include the following points:

Request a meeting and explain the reason.

Suggest the time and place of the appointment.

Express thanks and ask for a reply as soon as possible.

Part II  看图表信息写作 (40 points)

Directions: The charts below show the operating mileage and passenger volume of high-speed trains and their percentages of China’s total railway network operating mileage and passenger volume for the years 2016 through 2020. Write a report (of at least 200 words) to describe the charts, analyze the data, and make some comments/predictions/suggestions.

Part III 看短文写作 (35 points)

Directions: Read the story below and write an essay (of at least 250 words) based on your understanding. You need to give your essay an appropriate title and your essay should contain three parts:

a statement of your viewpoint;

the body which presents your argument;

a conclusion which restates your viewpoint.

Story:

There was once a lazy man living in a house with spider webs on the walls and mice running around. People avoided visiting him and the man was unhappy every day.

One day, the man dropped in on a wise old man and asked for advice about changing his life. The old man gave him a beautiful pot and said,“This pot will bring you happiness.” “Why do I need a pot?” the man thought. Although surprised, he took it home.

“It’s not proper for something so beautiful to be empty,” later he realized. So, he put some wild flowers into it, making it even more beautiful. “It’s not good for such a beautiful thing to stand next to spider webs.” So, he started to do some cleaning, and his house immediately turned into a comfortable place. The man cheered up. From then on, he worked hard and his life has been improved.
