5.1  夸张 Exaggeration


无夸张不成动画 Animation cannot be without exaggeration


1、夸张,是典型的动画语言,是强烈的戏剧效果。它有目的的放大或缩小事物的形象、动作的特征,以增强表达效果。但并不等于失实,而是通过夸张把事物的本质更好的体现出来。

Exaggeration, a typical animation language, is a strong and dramatic effect. It has purposes to enlarge or reduce the image of things, action characteristics, in order to enhance the dramatic effect of expression.

However, it is not equal to false, but through exaggeration to better reflect the essence of things.




2、夸张手法贯穿于整部动画,没有经过夸张处理的动画作品不是真正意义上的动画。夸张手法既是动画区别于其他艺术门类的典型特征,也是动画艺术的灵魂所在。

Exaggeration runs through the whole animation, and the animation without exaggeration is not the real animation. Exaggeration is not only atypical feature that distinguishes animation from other arts, but also the sou lof animation art.








5.1.1  真人电影与传统动画的区别 Differences between animation and live-action film


真人电影 Live-action Film

如实地用胶片直接拍摄客观物体的运动,相当于是对真实运动的一种记录复制

Literally photographing the motion of an object directly on film is equivalent to recording a copy of the real motion.



动画 Animation:

是动画师一张一张画出的画面,或是用电脑软件生成的画面。

It is a sequential pictures that an animator draws frame by frame, or generates by a computer.

是动画师在真实的基础上进行的二次创作

The animator create the animation based on reality as a secondary creation.




实拍影像在动画制作中的运用 The application of live-action film in animation production

“实拍影像”(Live Action)是指动画制作开始前为卡通角色的塑造所拍摄的演员或动物表演的场景。

A ‘Live-action film’ is a scene in which an actor or animal performs for the creation of an animation character before animate the characters.

是动画制作中非常重要的参考资料。

It is a very important reference for making animation.



白雪公主和王子 是 转描动画(描红动画)

实拍影像是作为动画的辅助手段(参考资料)而存在的。它既可以启发动画师的想象力,也可能扼杀它们。

Live-action film exists as a reference to animation. It can inspire animator's imaginations, or kill them.

根据影片风格适当夸张 :

Appropriatelyexaggerate according to the styles of the film.


             



5.1.2 动作的夸张 Action exaggeration 

设计者不仅要把角色的动作表现得流畅自然,使之准确而又生动,还要在动作中传达出角色的思想感情,让角色体现出独特的个性

The animator should not only express the movements smoothly and naturally, makes it accurately and vividly, but also shows the thoughts and feelings of the character through the action that reflects a unique personality

艺术的润色手法——放大或缩小动作特征

Artistic approach---zoom in or out of action features.


              



5.1.3 表情的夸张Expression Exaggeration

表情的夸张——表达情绪时最简单、最容易的手法.

The simplest and easiest way to express emotions.

角色的表情是通过角色五官的形状和位置的变化来体现.

A character’s expression is reflected by the changes in the shape and position of his features.

五官不是孤立的,五官的动作有一致性,一定要整体考虑。

The features are not isolated, the movement of the five features is consistent, must be considered as a whole.


             



情绪的表达不光靠表情,还要配合恰当的躯体动作

Emotions are expressed not only by expressions but also by appropriate physical movements.




5.1.4 夸张不等于歪曲事实  Exaggeration does not equal distortion

夸张应该根据实际需要适当的运用,不能随便使用,否则会引起歧义。

Exaggeration should be used appropriately according to the actualneeds, and should not be used casually, otherwise it will cause ambiguity.


制作者应该首先清楚动作的目的性,剧情需要是什么,以及决定哪个阶段需要动作上的夸张处理。适当的夸张会让动画看起来更可信更有趣。

The animator should first be clear about the purpose of the action, what the story needs to be, and decide which stage of the action needs to beexaggerated. Appropriate exaggeration will make the animation look morebelievable and interesting.
