Orders

The major points of an order

  1. Details of description

  2. Quantities

  3. Unit price

  4. Packing

  5. Time of shipment

  6. Port of destination/shipment

  7. Terms of payment


The obligations of Both Parties

 Theimporter's obligations:

  1. To accept the goods supplied, if they comply with the stipulations in the order;

  2. To pay for the goods according to the terms of payment agreed upon;

  3. To examine the goods after their arrival at the final destination.


The exporter's obligations:

  1. To deliver the goods in strict conformity with the     specifications in the order;

  2. To ship the goods at the agreed time;

  3. To guarantee that the goods to be shipped are free from faults.    

  4. If faulty goods are delivered, the importer can demand either a reduction in price, or replacement of the goods, or cancellation of the order. He/she may also lodge a claim against the damage.
