Queen’s Birthday
To be precise, this should be Queen’s Official Birthday, which is onJune 2nd, because this is not her real birthday, which is on April21st. This official birthday is when she celebrates her birthday in public and certain public ceremonies are performed. At present, the Queen’s Officia lBirthday is marked as a national day by British diplomatic missions overseas, but not in the UK itself. You may ask why. Because Britain does not have one unique national day, instead there are four national days which are celebrated with its associated constituent countries. They are St. Georg’s Day in England,St. Andrew’s Day in Scotland, St David's Day in Wales and St Patrick's Day in Northern Ireland. Only St Patrick’s Day and St Andrew’s Day are taken as an official holiday. The other two national days are just normal working days.
