   2.  a bit                    = a little

     * for a bit/a little  = for a while 

         Let‘s rest for a bit/a  little.

      * a little +                 = a bit of +   

          Tom has a little money/a  bit of money.

注：名词前有this, that, 所有格等限定词时，用a little of

          I want to drink a little  of that drink.

      * not a bit = not at all   

       not a little = very much

          He is not a bit tired.

       Suzhou is famous for  gardens.
