Unit 8 Communication Style (交际风格)


本单元共3小节,单元学习目标与学习任务如下:


【学习目标】

掌握语境的定义、分类及其对交际风格的影响,了解不同文化背景人们交际风格的差异,掌握高、低语境交际的特点以及高、低语境文化的特点,锻炼和提升使用得体的交际风格进行跨文化交际的能力。增强跨文化意识,提升使用英语传播中国文化、讲述中故事的能力。


After completing this unit, you should be able to:

Ø understand what context is, types of context, its influence to communication

Ø Illustrate differences between high-context communication and low-context communication,

Ø Illustrate differences between high-context culture and low-context culture,

Ø explore characteristics of explicit and implicit communicative style,

Ø apply effective and appropriate communicative style in intercultural communication,

Ø enhance intercultural awareness, improve the ability to use English to spread Chinese culture and tell Chinese stories.
