8.1.1 Definition of container transportation

 Container is a tremendous holder with intensity for cycling and easy to be mechanically operated. 

具有一定的强度，专供周转使用便于机械操作。

 Container transport is a method of distributing merchandise in unitized form adopting an inter-modal system which provides combination of different modes of transport.

货物装入集装箱内，以该箱作为运送单位。适用于不同方式联运。

 imperial system:

(1) 8’×8’×20’ twenty-foot equivalent unit 

(TEU)

(2) 8’×8’×40’ forty-foot equivalent unit 

(FEU)

8.1.3 Cargo handing over under container transportation

（1）Types of Container Goods 集装箱货物分类

1) FCL: goods are packed into the container as one unit by the consigner for shipment. 

  整箱货：货主自行将货物装入集装箱后，以箱为单位同承运人托运。

2) LCL: consignments are first sent to the container freight station or inland container depot. The carrier consolidate and pack the goods into containers. 

  拼箱货：接受货主托运的货物不足装满整箱。把去同一目的地的货物集中，拼装入箱。

(2) Container Cargo Delivery Mode交接方式

• FCL/FCL — 整箱交，整箱接；一个发货人，一个收货人。

• FCL/LCL — 整箱交，拼箱接；一个发货人，多个收货人。

• LCL/FCL — 拼箱交，整箱接；多个发货人，一个收货人。

• LCL/LCL — 拼箱交，拼箱接；多个发货人，多个收货人。

(3) Container Cargo Delivery Place 交接地点

1) Door: 

发货人或收货人的工厂或仓库

2) Container Yard (CY) 堆场: 

堆场是整箱货的交接地点 (FCL)

3) Container Freight Station CFS 货运站: 

货运站是专门集中交接拼箱货的场所 (LCL)
