How to keep a conversation going?
Firstly, ask questions?
Secondly, give extra information.
Thirdly, make comments.

Asking for and giving recommendations
There are mainly three ways to ask for recommendations
Ask directly with wh- questions, that is , questions starting with what, who, where, when, which,and how.
Ask by startingyour question with Do you think…? Or Could you…?
Make statementsabout your hope or wish. For example, I'm wondering…
