How to keep a conversation going?


Firstly, ask questions?


Secondly, give extra information.


Thirdly, make comments.


Example:   

Q: Questions   A: Answers

E: Extra information   C: Comments on what the speaker says



A: How did you spend the weekend?(Q)

B: I went to the Erqi Square.(A) Iwent there for a free concert.(E)

A: That sounds nice!(C) How did you get to the Square?(Q)

B: I drove there.(A) But the traffic was so bad that I took one hour to get there.(E)

A: How terrible!(C) Whom did you go to the Square with?(Q)

B: I went to the Square with my roommate.(A)  He is a really fun person.(E)

A: Lucky you! (C)what do you think of the concert?(Q)

B: It was beyond my expectations.(A) The musicians are all young and energetic.(E)
