One may dream of traveling overseas one day. If so, the problem of how to get there will quickly come up. Theoretically, you can choose anything available, but the most common means of transportation is by plane. Therefore, knowing the whole procedure from purchasing air tickets to dealing with all kinds of in-flight emergencies can assure you a pleasant journey.

The first thing you have to do is to choose a suitable airline carrier. You can make a wise decision depending on such factors as the company's service record, price of the ticket, length of time to destination, and in-flight service.

Upon arriving at the airport, you usually check in your luggage at the main ticket counter. Then, you have to pass through the security checkpoint, where you will have to walk through an X-ray machine, and have your carry-on bags checked for any prohibited items, such as firearms, explosives, and knives. You may also be required to open your luggage to have a close manual check.

Passing through this checkpoint, you will them come to the designated boarding area and gate to wait for your plane. Just wait there until you hear your flight announced.

Finally,  there comes the time for boarding the plane. You may find that every plane is equipped with emergency exits in case you come across any emergencies. In addition, you can also find life jackets under the seats and oxygen masks in case the plane's cabin unexpectedly loses pressure. Make sure to read the safety instruction card located in the pocket  of the seat in fornt of you.

     Air travel is a form of travel with an airplane. The comfort experienced when traveling by air depends on several factors starting with the airport, the choice of the airline and the travel class.

    Travel class on an airplane is usually split into a two or four calss models. Domestic flighgt usually have two classes: Economy Class and Business Class. International flights may have up to four classes: Economy Class, Premium Economy, Business Class or Club Class, and First Class.

   The differences between Premium Economy and Economy are quite significant, but the cost is not greatly altered by purchasing a Premium Economy ticket. The price difference between an Economy Class ticket and a First Class ticket, however, is often extremely big.

The typical procedure is check-in, border control, airport security baggage and passenger check before entering the gate, boarding, flying and pick-up of luggage and——limited to international flights——another border control at the host country's border.
