detail design 1 

As a basis for obtaining planning permission and building regulation approval, the following will be required: 

location plans and block plans, indicating boundaries with 邮tancesto neighbouring properties, roads and footpaths, the building site/plot and ratio of built area to plot size, etc

orthographic drawings (front, end, plan and sectional eleva­tions) of the construction to be undertaken

elevations indicating foundation depths, roof ridges and other important points of the project

detail drawings of construction methods for building regulation approval

a completed planning application form obtained from the local authority.

In order to go to tender the following will normally be required

complete sets of detailed working drawings for each trade area involved in the project

a pre-qualification notice for the tender process the client wish­es to use

a set of tender forms for the contractor(s) to fill in his/her bid with space for provisos the contractor(s) may wish to make

a set of specifications to include:

1. the project specification

2. the contract specification

3. a works specification - one for each trade area

4. building components specification

a bill of quantities

a tender control plan for each of the trade contracts

a tender time schedule

a performance bond, a guarantee usually signed by the con­tractor's bank indicating support for the contractor in cases of financial difficulty.
