1-1  Shanghai  Cocktail   上海鸡尾酒

Scene: When Mr. Bellow (B) walks into the bar, thebartender (BT) greets him.

BT: Good evening, sir.

B: Good evening.

BT: Mr.,…?

B: Henry Bellow.

BT: Ah, yes, Mr. Bellow. Are you staying at our hotel?

B: Yes, I’m in Room 908.

BT: Thank you, Mr. Bellow. Have you anything in mind as to what todrink or may I make a few

    suggestions?

B: I have had enough Gin Fizz and Bloody Mary.

But I have to idea about Chinese cocktails.

BT: Would you prefer our cocktail        Shanghai cocktail?

    It’s a mixture of realChinese ingredients.

B: That’s good.

(The bartender makes thecocktail for Mr. Bellow and hands it to him.)

BT: Here is your Shanghai cocktail, Mr. Bellow.

B: Thank you. Oh, it tastes excellent.

BT:It’s a new cocktail of our hotel.

B: How do you mix it? I’d love to try it myself when I am back home.

BT: (He tells Bellow how to make Shanghai cocktail.)

B: I hope I can mix it myself. By the way, do you take credit cardhere of shall I pay in cash?

BT: Since you are staying at our hotel you may sign the bill.

   The hotel will charge youwhen you leave.

B: Thank you.

BT: You are most welcome, Mr. Bellow.Goodbye.

B: Bye-bye.
