Construction of Foshan-Dongguan intercity railway begins in south China
Construction of the Foshan-Dongguan intercity railway began on Monday. It will connect the cities of Foshan and Dongguan, both in south China's Guangdong Province. It is an important express line on the rail transit network of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The line is expected to open to traffic in 2021 and will connect with the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway at Guangzhou South Station. With a designed speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour, the railway will run a length of around 36 kilometers.

CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON INTERCITY RAILWAY TO SUZHOU,JIAXING
Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo Railway is a sea-crossing high-speed railway. The railway has been incorporated into the long-term railway network planning as an important part of the national high-speed railway network. It is also the backbone of Yangtze River Delta intercity railways, and is expected to reach the speed of 350 km/h.
Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo Railway starts at Nantong West station on Shanghai-Ningbo Railway, connecting Suzhou, Jiaxing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. It passes through Jiaxing South Station and arrives in Ningbo, contributing to coastal high-speed railway channel.
