李广建是武汉铁路局麻城工务段麻城北线路车间一名普通的安全员,10年来,李广建以“干一行爱一行,爱一行精一行”的工匠精神为工作的出发点和落脚点,立足岗位,潜心研究,打破了少数发达国家的技术垄断,把高铁打磨核心技术掌握在自己手中,确保了合武客运专线线路质量始终位居全路前列。

高铁道岔(turnout),就是高速列车从一股道转入另一股道的线路连接设备。李广建解释,以曲尖轨(curved switch rail)为例,列车换道时,往往会对曲尖轨造成横向挤压,产生病害多,所以道岔也是轨道中最关键、最薄弱的地方。
The turnout on a line is the circuit connecting device used when a high-speed train moves from one track to another. “Take a curved switch rail, for example,” Li Guangjian said. “When the train moves from track to track, it puts pressure on the curved switch rail and brings potential harm. Therefore, the turnout is the most important and vulnerable part of the rail.”
李广建还按周期检查评定道岔(turnout),做好状态修、预防修(preventive maintenance)工作,重塑钢轨廓形,改善轮轨关系,提升了动车组列车运行品质。同时,他利用休班时间编写《高铁道岔打磨作业指导书》,到武广高铁给兄弟单位传授打磨技术。
Li Guangjian examines and evaluates turnouts regularly and carries out preventive maintenance and other upkeep as required by the condition of the rails. He also reshapes the rails to improve the relationship of wheels and rails. Quality work is his top priority. He wrote a guidebook in his spare time for polishing railway turnout sections, and provided instruction to other workers on the Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway.
