Compound dictation

Listen to a short passage concerning the love for the mother and fill in the missing information.

Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute and     1    to the person called MOM though some may not say it openly to their mother. There’s no substitute for her.      2     every single moment. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, she may not      3     your thoughts, she is still your mother!    She will be there for you; to listen to your woes, your brags, your        4    , etc. Ask yourself “Have you      5     enough time for her, to listen to her ‘blues’ of working in the kitchen, her     6    ?”

Be tactful, loving and still show her due     7     , though you may have a different view from hers. Once gone, only fond      8     of the past and also regrets will be left. Don’t     9      the things closest to your heart. Love her more than you love yourself. Life is      10       without her.
