An Introduction to Chinchero
Chinchero (钦切罗) is a famous birthplace of Peru's textile industry. The locals are very good at all kinds of handicrafts, Hence the name "birthplace of the rainbow". The town, located between Cusco(库斯科) and Urubamba(乌鲁班巴), is 3,762 meters above sea level.
Although the town has been forgotten by many people, there are many places worth visiting.
The most famous place is the bustling Sunday craft market, one of the best in Peru. Wearing local costumes to the beautiful valley of the holy punch is also very attractive.
Peru
Peru is located on the western coast of South America. Many ethnic groups are represented in its population of nearly 31 million people. The main language is Spanish. Peru is a very diverse geography. The costal region is low and arid. The Andes Mountains (安第斯山脉)are parallel to the coast, with a high plateau called the Altiplano (高原)and mountains up to 22, 205 feet (6, 768 meters) high.
The interior of Peru is the Amazon rainforest, the fourth largest area of rainforest of any country in the world.
