Positive parent-child relationships are important for all stages of children’s development which exerts a profound influence on children’s personal growth. As a matter of fact, the sound relationship between two generations requires the joint efforts of parents andchildren.

On the one hand, parents should have the awareness that positive parent-childrelationships are built on quality time. Time together is how they get to know about each other’s experiences, thoughts, and interests. Besides, parents should also encourage their children to take on challenges and find independence. Furthermore, it is wise for parents to set a role model rather than make demands.

On the other hand, children are supposed to understand the sacrifices their parents have made to raise them up.
