This part consists of 6 aspects, which are work motivation, work position, about your former interview, work expericence, English training, the reason to hire you.

• work motivation工作动机

We should avoid to use those theoritical answers, especially those empty talk(空话). We should talk about our own experience.

e.g. 

Q: Why do you want to work on cruise?

A1: Because my father works in a ship yard. I was very interested in the ship when I  was a little girl. That’s why I want to work on board. 

A2: Because I like travelling. I like sea. I like the color blue.

Obvious, A1 is much better. A2 is empty talk.

• work position工作岗位

We should be very familiar with the names and duties of posts on a  cruise. Attention! As an interviewee, we should not say acronyms(WA, RAS, etc.). We should only say the full name of a post. 

WA: waiter assistant

RSA: room service attendant

CLF: faculty cleaner (清洁工)

e.g. 

Q: What is RSA?

A: Room service attendant is to provide food service to guests in their staterooms.

• about your former interview关于初试

This question is only for those interviewees who have failed in former interviews, and comes to have a second or third interview. 

Don't show your inconfidence.We should use some skills, and keep silent about marjor chaeges while admitting minor ones.(运用技巧，避重就轻)

e.g.

Q: Why didn't you pass the first interview?

A1: Because my English is not good enough.

A2: Because I was a little nervous at that time. Now I'm trying my best to relax myself. I feel much better than last time. 

• work expericence工作经验

  if you have work experience (full-time or part-time), show your highlighs（亮点）!

e.g. 

    Q: Why do you want to work on a cruise ship?

    A: Because I worked as a waitress in Dubai for 2 years.

    虽然面对该问题没有正面回答，但是强调了自己有英语环境下的相关工作经验，展示了亮点。如果你有亮点，甚至可以诱导面试官去问这段工作经验的问题。比如

    Q: How old are you?

    A: I'm 25. Two years ago, I celebrated my birthday in Dubai.

    Q: why do you apply for Waiter Assistant?

    A: Because I worked as a waitress in Dubai for 2 years.

• English training 英语培训

This part is for those who have attended English trainings. The question is similiar to English study- related questions

e.g. 

Q: What did you learn from the training class?/ How do you practice your English every day?

A: I study English for 8 hours everyday. In the morning, I practice my oral（口头的)English for 4 hours; in the afternoon, I spend 2 hours on English listening and another 2 hours on English activities.  

• the reason to hire you 雇佣原因

This part often comes at the end of the interview. interviewers should answer the question from their own ablities and personalities.

    e.g.

    Q: give me one reason why I give you this position.

    A: Because I’m helpful. If the guests are in trouble, I will try my best to help them out of the trouble.
