Closed questions一般疑问句
Attention! Don't simply say yes or no. You should say one or two more sentence after you say yes or no. For example
Q: Did you work in haiyou hotel last May?
A: Yes, I worked in haiyou hotel last May. That was my internship(实习).
Q: Are you from Liaoning province?
A: yes, I am from Shenyang, Liaoning province.
Q: Are you applying for room service attendant?
A: Yes, I am applying for room service attendant.
Q: Can you say something about your school?
A: Yes, I can. My school is located in Xiqing district. Its name is Tianjin Transportation Technical College. The teachers and students are very nice.
Open questions特殊疑问句
You should answer the questions acording to your real situations. Be simple and direct. Avoid talking too much.
e.g.
Q: Where is your dorm?
A: My dorm is at room 601 in apartment 1.
Q: What position do you want to apply for?
A: I want to apply for roomservice attendant.
Q: Which year are you in now?
A: I am in the year 2020.
Declarative stences plus interrogative tone 陈述句加疑问语气
If your answer is yes, we often say "yes, that's right. " or explain it in detail. If NOT, we should say no and explain why not.
e.g.
Q: You are from Tianjin, right?
A: Yes, I'm from Xiqing district, Tianjin city. / No, I'm from Beijing.
Q: You like playing volleyball, right?
A: Yes, that’s right. I like playing volleyball. / No. I don’t like playing volleyball. I like playing basketball.
Alternative questions选择疑问句
You should answer a full sentence instead of simple words!
e.g.
Q: Are you from Jilin or Tianjin?
A: I am from Jilin / I am from Tianjin.
Q: You were a waitress in Baiyun Hotel, right or wrong?
A: That’s right. I was a waitress in Baiyun Hotel. / That's wrong. I was not a waitress in Baiyun Hotel. I was a waitor.
