Being young is doubtlessly desirable,especially in a youth-oriented country like America, where youth is worshiped.However, this piece of writing is an attempt to subvert the traditional view and convince the reader that growing older is not necessarily that dreadful .After studying this text, you are requried to

• have a thorough understanding of the text contextually and linguistically;(任务点）

• Most people are afraid of death and therefore afraid of getting older, build up an active vocabulary to talk about any virtues of old age that you can observe and appreciate,how we should  face the natural process of aging and dying, and know how to use the key words and expressions in context properly（任务点）
