1. What is DIY?

DIY stands for “Do It Yourself”. It means that you make things on your own. It originated in Western countries about 50 years ago.Originally, people did this in order to cut expenses. But now it has become a trend. Quite many books, magazines and websites are now available to teach you to DIY many things, such as making toys, knitting sweaters, decorating houses, assembling computers, etc.
