Bundling

Bundling: This section starts by making the important point that many goods are, in effect, bundles. A car, for example, could be sold piece-by-piece, but automobile manufacturers have decided instead to sell a complete vehicle or a ‘bundle’ of car parts that comprise a complete vehicle. The case of pure bundling is easy to explain and a quick walk through the examples provided in the chapter should prove sufficient. Mixed bundling, on the other hand, requires a bit more coverage. The Q&A on page 343 is an excellent way to hit the highlights.
