Extended family V.S Nuclear family

The difference between the nuclear family and the extended family is that a nuclear family refers to a single basic family unit of parents and their children, whereas the extended family refers to their relatives, as well – such as grandparents, in-laws, aunts and uncles, etc.

Here is a video for reference, and you can have a mini debate with your classmates on this topic by following the steps:

1. watch the video first and think about the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear and extended family.

2. form a team with 2-3 classmates and list your points.

3. you can have a debate with the team who has the opposite preference.
