1. About  2,300 Americans are diagnosed with brain cancer each year and more than half  that number die.

 

2. Jenn  Vonckx was told she had 12 months to live due to the very worst brain tumor  called glioblastomas

 

3. So far  there’s been no way to use large enough amounts of chemotherapy for these  types of tumors.

 

4. Jenn is  the first patient in the world to receive stem cell therapy to fight her brain  tumor.

 

5. Jenn  said she would prefer that there would be a few people going through stem  cell therapy after her.

 

6. It will  not take long before doctors know if the experimental procedure works.
