《会展英语》教学计划
一、教学原则和思路
课程性质:
该课程通过介绍会展专业中所需的专用英语词汇、术语、句型等语言材料及文化背景知识,帮助学生掌握会展基本知识、熟悉会展流程、了解会展主要业务工作内容,熟悉掌握会展相关词汇及表达,培养学生成为熟悉会展基本业务流程的外语人才。
课程目标:
(一)总体目标
通过本课程的学习,使学生了解并熟悉会展活动中所涉及的会展行业知识和商务英语知识及相关技能,通过大量校内会展模拟练习及参加各类校外展会实践,培养学生的专业能力、方法能力及社会能力,综合提高学生的行动能力,培养学生的综合职业素质,为以后的职业生涯奠定基础。为社会和企业培养既具有外语应用能力又熟悉掌握会展行业知识和技能的应用型人才。
(二)能力目标
1. 策划、组织及宣传能力:能够具备初步的展会策划,展会介绍,展会宣传推广能力。
2. 沟通接待能力:能够在接待客户时语言得体,态度端正,正确使用肢体语言,具备良好的接待礼仪,掌握必要的沟通技巧。
3. 协调能力、创新能力及独立解决问题的能力:能够懂得如何分配工作,如何解决小组与小组之间,小组内部之间,以及主办方及各参展商之间的问题,协调好与各方面的关系。
4. 信息收集、整理及处理能力:能够充分利用各种资源和途径收集、整理编写会展信息,同时掌握在展会现场搜集、整理买家资料的方法。
5. 英语应用能力:能够收集相关英语资料,翻译相关材料,用英语进行得体、流利的书面和口语交流和沟通,掌握基本的商务英语交际技巧。
(三)知识目标
1. 了解会展行业相关知识,如会展业概况,发展前景,国内外重要会展中心等。
2. 了解作为主办方会展筹划的过程,如展会策划、介绍、宣传推广的途径与方法等。
3. 了解作为参展商如何申请展位及布展。
4. 了解整个展会的接待过程、接待礼仪及沟通技巧。
5. 掌握与会展相关的英语常用术语及表达法,常用英语写作文体,基本口译及翻译技巧。
(四)素质目标
具有良好的职业道德、礼仪风范和一丝不苟、严肃认真的工作作风。
课程设计:
宏观上,本课程标准的设计思路是以企业和行业需求为导向,培养学生的应用能力和职业能力。课程标准总体设计以“学生”为中心,以“实践”为核心。
中观设计思路,本课程标准确定会展这个职业活动的典型工作过程,然后将其活动体系中的典型工作任务按照“主办方”和“参展商”两个不同的角色加以搜集、整理、归纳和整合,导出全部职业行动领域,再由行动领域导出学习领域,并通过适合教学的学习情境使其具体化,同时融入适度的相关理论知识,最后转化为适合于高职学生的教学内容。它以真实的工作任务以及会展的工作过程为依据,按照展前、展中、展后的工作流程,分不同的及角色(主办方和参展商)来序化教学内容。每一个模块都有相对应的具体工作(学习)任务,并结合英语知识学习和应用能力培养设计教学环节。同时,每一个模块都有其职业能力和语言能力的培养目标。
微观课堂设计将会展英语课程分为九个项目,每一个项目都从会展的实际需求开始,制定具体的任务(项目),讲解具体的操作过程;在操作前知道学生了解适度够用的专业理论知识、概念和原理。每个项目的教学过程为:案例呈现、项目分析、任务设置、讨论实施(学生分组或独立完成任务)、评估反思。通过教、学、做的结合,学生从了解为何做、做什么直到掌握怎么做,其应用能力得到了培养。
