一、教学目标与要求:

At the end of the class, the students can:

1. grasp the main idea of listening materials.

2. get familiar with the names of festivals.

二、教学重点、难点:

Names of Chinese and western festivals.

Make up a dialogue about how to celebrate a festival.

三、教学准备:

Multimedia, Teachers book

四、教学过程:

Step1. Free talk

 Teachers talk with the students and help them finish Warm-up.

Step2. Listening A

1. Before listening to the dialogue, ask students to guess the answer.

2. Listen to the dialogue and check the answer.

3. Listen again and underline the sentences about invitation.

Step3. Practice

1. Ask Ss to make up their dialogues with useful expressions.

2. Invite some pairs to present their dialogues to the class.

3. Complete the conversations on Page 150.

Step4. Listening B

1. Learn some expressions by pictures.

2. Listen and choose the right answer.

3. Listen again and tick the activities during the winter holidays.

4. Write down the plan for the coming holiday.

Step5. Extension

1. Help the students work out the dialogue.

2. Points:

probably (副词) 很可能。有充分证据,可能性很大。放在be       

    动词或形容词之后is (out) probably;助动词后does probably

     实义动词前probably walk

    maybe (美式英语)或许也许,用于口语,放在句首。

    perhaps (英式英语)或许也许,用于口语,位置随意。

    mightmay过去式。表过去或可能性很小的事。

couple (名词)几个人或事、一对夫妻或情侣

    若看成一对整体,谓语动词用单数,尤其当有each every    

     only one等修饰时。若强调个体,谓语动词用复数。

a couple of (几个)+名词复数+谓语动词复数

sound (vi) 听起来 似乎:后接形容词、介词短语或名词做表语

               (n.) 指自然界所有的声音。可悦耳也可是噪音。           

    noice:很响的、刺耳的声音

    voice:指人发出的声音。说话唱歌。

time词组:

    It's time for sth./ doing  是做某事的时间了

    It's time (for sb. ) to do  (某人)该做某事的时间到了

    It's (high) time (that) sb. did/ should do sth.

     某人(早)就该做某事的时候了

    It is the + +time (that) sb. have/ has done

     某人第几次做某事(截止现在)

    It was + +time (that) sb. had done

     某人第几次做某事(截止过去某一时刻)

表示邀请及其答语:

    Would you like to...?

    肯定回答:Yes, I'd love to. (That would be nice)

    否定回答:No, thanks.

      (婉拒)  It's nice of you, but...

                      I'd love to, but I'm afraid I have no time.

would like sth.= want sth.  想要某物

    would like to do= want to do  想要做某事

    would like sb. to do= want sb. to do  想要某人做某事

     

come over:顺便来访\过来(从远处)\ 突然感到

come about 发生

come across 偶然发现或碰到

come true 实现

come out 出来、出版

come on 快点,加油,得了吧

come up with 想出、提出
