Figure2-1 shows that human resource, operations, corporate management, sales and marketing, and general management are the key issues facing lodging industry, occupying 17%, 16%, 16%, 15%, 13% respectively. Therefore, more concerns should be taken on enhancing employee satisfaction, improving customer services and satisfaction, increasing sales and occupancy. Employee satisfaction would enhance guest service, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, customer satisfaction would lead to increased customer loyalty, occupancy, revenue per available customer, and ultimately, profitability.
