游者在国外游览过程中，有一些自由活动时间。如晚餐后不参加自费活动时，大部分旅游者喜欢自己活动。领队应告知游客：

1．在国外（特别是言语不通的国家）自由活动最好三五成群，遇到问题可以互相帮助。

2．自由活动前，应备有地方陪同的电话号码并在酒店前台索取酒店的名片，以防走失时可及时与地陪联系或打的返回酒店。

3．对国外一些娱乐场所，一定要了解清楚是否适合中国旅游者自己的消费方式。不要先入座再问价格，否则会造成不必要的经济损失。

4．如旅行团中多数人去一个方向，领队应随行，以便担任翻译。

5．许多旅游者喜欢利用自由活动时间选择商店购物。欧洲、澳洲等国都有免税商店，对外国人购物予以一定比例的免税优惠。领领队必须详细告知客人购物之后的退税程序。

6．在出国前尽量劝导客人办理国际信用卡。中国旅游者出国一般携带大量外币，尤其是美金，这样既不安全也不方便。

A:  Good morning,sir. Can I help you?

B: Yes. This lady needs some Australian dollars. Would you please change them for her

A:  Certainly,ma'am. What kind of foreign currency have you got?

A:  It is 127 Australian dollars for 100 US dollars.

C:  1 want to change 500 US dollars.

A:  That is 635 Australian dollars in all. Would you please fill in the currency exchange declaration form?'

C:  ( To the local gu.ide)can you help me with it?

B:  Certainly,ma'am,with pleasure. Here you are.

C: Here is 500 dollars.

A:  Thank you. What denominations would you like?

C: What does "denomination" mean,leader?

B: How would you like your money?

C:  I would like six 100-dollar bills,three 10-dollar bills,and coins for the rest amount.

A: Would you please sign on the memo?

C: Sure.

A:  Thank  you, ma'am. Here  are  your money  and exchange  memo.  

Please keep the memo. It may come in handy later onz. And here is  your declaration form

B: Thank you ever so much.

A: It's my pleasure.
