讲授新课 1、Words and expressions.:

（1）、 manager

manager to do sth    vs  try to do sth.

（2）、 intern  v  做实习（教师、医生、）；做实习生

（3）、 do ones best = try ones best 

（4）、 whenever  =  no matter when (不可放在句中，只放句首)

（5）. clothing , cloth  , clothes的区别：

cloth 作不可数名词时，指布料、衣料。

                              a piece of cloth________________.

     作可数名词时, 指具体某种用途的布。a table cloth___________;

 a dish cloth__________.

clothes指具体的衣服，衣着的各个部分，包括外套、衬衣、裤子、裙、鞋袜等，是复数名词，不能和a、 the、this和数词连用，做主语，谓语动词用复数形式。

clothing是物质名词，是服装的总称，集合名词，只有单数形式。做主语时，谓语用单数。

用以上三个词填空：

The coat is made of thick           .外衣是用厚布做的。

He always wears dark            .他总是穿深色的衣服。

Our               protects us from the cold.我们的衣服为我们御寒。

  mind sb.’s doing sth.                           

2）用于 Would / Do you mind...? 该句型意为“请你……好不好?” 对该句型的回答与汉语的习惯不同，注意回答是针对 mind 而言的

即： (1)表示不同意，可用：Yes, I do mind./Please don’t... / Better not, please. / I’d rather you didn’t./I’m sorry, but... 等。

 (2)表示 同意，可用：Oh, no, please. / No, not at all./Not at all. Certainly not. / Of course not. / No, go ahead. 等。
