Two types of words of most sentences:

Content words

Structure words

Remember:

1. Content words are stressed.

2. Structure words are unstressed.

The time between each stressed word is the same.

ⅡDoing some exercise about reading some sentences about Sentence Stress.

Ⅲ Word Formation:

1. a based word plus an affix

前缀：

否定前缀：

Dis-   dislike        In-    inability

Il-     illegal        Im-    impossible

Ir-     irregular      Un-    unhappy

Mis-   mistake       Ab-    abnormal

重复前缀：re-  retell

中间前缀：mid- midterm

后缀：

名词后缀

-tion   solution      -ity    ability

-hood  childhood     -er/or   teacher/actor

-ness   sadness

动词后缀

-en   sharpen     -fy   satisfy     -ize   socialize

形容词后缀

-ly  friendly      -less hopeless

-ful meaningful      -y  rainy

副词后缀

-ly   quickly
