Two types of words of most sentences:

Content words

Structure words

Remember:

1. Content words are stressed.

2. Structure words are unstressed.

The time between each stressed word is the same.

Doing some exercise about reading some sentences about Sentence Stress.

 Word Formation:

否定前缀:

Dis-   dislike        In-    inability

重复前缀:re-  retell

中间前缀:mid- midterm

名词后缀

-tion   solution      -ity    ability

动词后缀

-en   sharpen     -fy   satisfy     -ize   socialize

形容词后缀

-ly  friendly      -less hopeless

-ful meaningful      -y  rainy

副词后缀

-ly   quickly
