汉译英：

(1) 用户愿详细研究你们的产品。( I—1 )

I think our users would like to look into your products in detail.

*点评：此处比口语化的表达 ‘…would like to know more about your products’要正式。

(2) 我们的顾客觉得，你们的价格和其他国家。。。( I—1 )

*点评：此处将‘觉得’译成 ‘have the impression that…’ 比译成‘feel’要更正式；同理，用 动词+名词 构成的词组比单用动词听起来正式些，如： ‘to take …into consideration’比 ‘to consider’ 听起来正式些。

(3) 你们的要价还是太厉害了些。( I—1 )

*点评：此处将‘厉害’译成 ‘stiff’是一种非正式的说法；不过，根据前文说话者的语气以及他的身份，此处最好译成 ‘too expensive’.

(4) 尊重受援国的法令和民族习俗。( I—1 )

*点评：虽然此处中文为‘尊重法令’，在中翻英时，最好翻成 ‘to abide by / obey laws’

(5) 参照该重要文件。。。中国政府根据自己的国情。。。按照上述国际共识文件。。。( I—1 )

*点评：这一段出现了不少类似的表达法的不同的译法，学生应将他们归纳到一起。

*点评：教师可将英语中各种表示赞同的表达法让学生说出来。

*点评：由于exempt的原因，此处最好以 ‘公司’或‘人’为主语, 译为 ‘ We / Our company will be exempt from royalties for the first two years of production.’

(8) 好，我们现在已经谈妥了。

*点评：此处可介绍另外几种谈判中表示谈妥了的表达法，如：

Ok, let’s call it a deal.  //  All right, let’s settle it.  //  We are glad we have brought this transaction to a successful conclusion.

 

英译汉：

(1) If possible, my engineer and I would like to have a chat with your technical staff, to get an all-round understanding of your present requirements. ( I—1 )

*点评：‘全面’还可译为 ‘an overall understanding of …’ 。在不同的语境下，‘全面’还有另外不同的译法，如：a comprehensive summing-up（全面总结）; to go into full swing（全面展开）

(2) ‘environmentally sound technologies’ vs ‘environmentally friendly technologies’ ( I—1)

*点评：前者更强调一种主动去保护环境的意识，译作‘对环境有益’；后者只是说明对环境无害，不含一种主动的意识，译作‘对环境友善’。

(3) …we are looking at a silk velvet joint venture of moderate scale, right? ( I—2 )

*点评：‘中型合资企业’翻成 ‘a medium-sized joint venture’ 更好。

(4) …is there a lower limit for the foreign party? ( I—2 )

*点评：此处 ‘party’ 指谈判的一方。
