数据库是“按照数据结构来组织、存储和管理数据的仓库”。是一个长期存储在计算机内的、有组织的、可共享的、统一管理的大量数据的集合。大数据时代自然不能没有数据库的支撑。数据库作为IT产业体系中最为基础也是最为核心的领域之一。

云上的数据库

  数据库已经经历了从以Oracle为代表的传统商业数据库（如SQL Server，IBM DB2，Sybase...），到以MySQL为代表的商业数据库，再到方兴未艾的以亚马逊AWS Aurora，阿里云的POLARDB为代表的 “云原生”数据库的三次演变。“数据库的未来在云上”已是行业共识。

  

蚂蚁金服OceanBase

2019年10月2日，阿里自主研发的数据库，在TPC-C基准测试中，打破了由美国公司Oracle（甲骨文）保持了9年之久的世界记录，成为首个登顶该榜单的中国数据库产品。中国自主研发的数据库迈入全球数据库的第一梯队.
