本课时为九年级全一册Unit1 How can we become good learners? 中的导入部分，旨在通过视频等多媒体资源介绍高效的学习方法，对比中西方古今学习理论的共同之处，鼓励学生多阅读相关书籍，借助互联网平台了解更多高效的学习方法，反思自身，从而找到适合自己的学习模式。

本节微课谈论的是如何学习英语。通过本节微课的学习学生应了解英语学习的常见困难以及知晓英语学习基本方法与习惯。

微课分为三个部分：第一部分是学习英语的常见困难；第二部分是英语学习的基本方法；第三部分是英语学习的习惯。学生在了解了英语学习的常见困难后能对应相应的学习方法和习惯改进、提高自己英语学习的能力。

本课主要内容是学习动词+by doing结构来表示做某事的方式。课中结合了英语学习者在英语学习过程中所遇到的问题和解决问题的方法，在提出问题和解决问题的同时学习语法。尽管本部分的语言结构比较单一，但是从中能学到许多学习英语的有效方法，短语内容也十分丰富。

Effective Ways to Learn English

‍The question of how to learn English better and more effectively is put to me often by my Chinese friends,students and colleagues.The learning of any language is complex and has no panacea（万能药）.Only hard work and commitment can improve one’s language skills.The learners of English must ask the question for themselves: What is my motivation to study English? You need the right motivation to maintain the intensity over time to develop effective English language skills. With that said, there are a few effective methods to learn English.

The most obvious way to improve English would be direct contact with native speakers or in a work environment where English is used as the main communication vehicle. Also, speak English with Chinese who have a good command of the language. It is essential to have the fundamentals of English mastered before communicating directly with a native speaker. If you do not have a basic understanding of English,then talking with a native speaker will only lead to frustration and little learning will take palce. But I understand that most Chinese do not find these opportunities easily.

Just as important, I discovered that reading English newspapers, essays and books woud greatly improve one’s English. In fact, native English speakers who read a great deal are usually good at oral expression. In the English language reading is very critical to a person’s ability to speak well. Reading builds a vocabulary and phrasal use in context.This is a way to avoid “Chinglish”. Reading builds an important sense and knowledge of the language. English is very much a phrasal and idiomatic language and reading enhances your knowledge on how to understand them and their patterns.

The student of English needs to start reading easier materials like China Daily or other English language publications every day. Many of the articles were written by native English speakers. Once you master newspapers, then move on to novels or books. The learner of English must read at least thirty minutes or more per day. It takes time and effort, but it will be rewarding.

Listening to English tapes and watching TV/movie can be very helpful. But there are pitfalls(意想不到的困难) with Hollywood movies. Movies use many slang expressions and actors tend to speak very quickly. This can be frustrating. Watching an English language movie with Chinese subtitles is useless to improve English. It is impossible to read in one language and listen in another.The viewer will only improve their ability to read Chinese.To learn English through movie one should only watch films in English with no Chinese subtitles.

Always remember language will improve if you are interested, have enough exposure to it, and are motivated. Never allow frustration defeat you. Good luck and enjoy learning English!
