The aim of ACCA Paper F8, Audit and Assurance is to develop knowledge and understanding of the process of carrying out the assurance engagement and its application in the context of the professional regulatory framework. 

The paper is therefore designed to be practical in application, and given it is the only compulsory auditing paper in the syllabus, it also aims to ensure that candidates who pass this paper understand the basics of an audit.

This paper’s requirements in details is as follows:

2．Understanding and obtaining the knowledge of risk assessment and the response to assessed risks for external audits.

3．Understanding and obtaining the knowledge of the role of internal audit in risk management and corporate governance.
