本课程是艺术实践类课程，主要以集体授课的方式来让学生系统学习十二孔陶笛的演奏。课程旨在让学生在表现音乐的过程中加深对中外音乐的了解，拓宽他们的音乐视野，提高他们的综合音乐素养和音乐表现能力。通过16周的教学和学生的课外练习（必须的），学生要基本掌握最常见的十二孔陶笛的基本演奏技巧。包括掌握陶笛的三大基本演奏技巧和简谱记谱法，会看常用的演奏法标记，学会视奏简单的练习曲和乐曲，并且能完整地演奏5首以上的初级练习曲和10首以上初级乐曲。根据需要，学生还可能被安排在校内外的文体活动中表演，以锻炼他们的舞台实践能力。
This is an art practice course with group instruction lesson that helps the student for their 12-hole ocarina learning. This course was designed for the student’s music practice. Via the practice, the students should understand the Western and Chinese music better, and their music vision should be widened, the comprehensive musicianship and performing skills should get improved. 
After a 16-week training and practice after class (required), the student should maintain the basic skills of the 12-hole ocarina flute, including the three basic skills. They should do simple sight-reading for numeral notation system and be familiar with special notation symbols. At the end of the semester, the students are required to memorize at least 5 etudes and 10 simple ocarina pieces. Besides, students might be invited to perform in some on-campus or off-campus activities.

	一是让学生能通过16周的学习掌握初步的陶笛演奏技巧，能达到自娱自乐的目的；二是在学习陶笛的过程中加深他们对中外音乐的了解，拓宽他们的音乐视野，提高他们的综合音乐素养和音乐表现能力。
The students should maintain the basic skills of ocarina playing, and they could play common ocarina music that they love. During their ocarina studying, the students should get a better understanding about western and Chinese music, have a wider version in music field, and their comprehensive musicianship and performing skills should get improved.
