Human parasitology is a basic course of medicine and belongs to the category of etiology. It is closely related to pathology, immunology, pharmacology, clinical medicine and preventive medicine. Human parasitology is the study of the biology and ecology of pathogenic parasitic diseases, pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology and prevention of experimental science, its mission is to enable students to master the basic theory, parasitology, basic knowledge and basic skills to lay the foundation for clinical medicine and preventive medicine study. This course uses a variety of teaching methods and means to cultivate students’ ability to study, to analyze problems and solve problems.

The total school hours of this course are 65 including 36 hours of theory, 24 hours of experiments, and 5 hours of case-based learning. The assessment method of this course consists of three parts, that is, final examination results, experimental results and case-based learning results, the proportion of each account is 60%, 20%, and 20%. The experimental results are divided into two parts, as attendance for 5% and drawing structs of parasite for 15%. The case-based learning results are also divided into two parts, as attendance for 5% and performance in the class for 15%.
