《大学英语（一）》是为本校非英语专业本科一年级学生开设的公共必修课程。大学英语是以与时俱进的外语教学理论为指导，以大学生英语语言技能、人文价值理念培育为主要内容，集多种现代化教学模式和线上线下混合教学手段为一体的教学体系。
课程的主要任务旨在充分发挥新文科的学科优势，力求把思想政治教育贯穿大学英语课程教学的始终，将英语语言知识习得与学生理想和价值理念培养紧密结合，使他们在今后生活和工作中实现有效英语信息交流的同时，全面提升综合文化素质和思想道德水平，成为适应我国新时期建设发展需求的全能人才。
College English (I) is a public compulsory course for the first year non-English major undergraduates in our university. Guided by up-to-date foreign language teaching theories, College English is a teaching system integrating a variety of modern teaching modes and mixed online and offline teaching methods, which mainly focuses on the cultivation of college students’ English language skills and humanistic values.
 The major task of the course is to put the discipline advantage of the new liberal arts into full play, to carry out the ideological and political education throughout the course, and to closely combine English language acquisition with students’ ideals and value concept cultivation, so as to help them improve their comprehensive cultural quality and moral level and become all-round talents for China’s construction and development in the new era, as well as achieve their effective English communication in future life and work.
