This course is based on the requirements of national professional standards for railway station attendant. The learning goals are to let students strictly abide by the operation standards for receiving and departing trains, to understand regulations of railway technical management  and relevant working disciplines, and to gain the ability of receiving and departing trains under normal and abnormal circumstances, as well as obtain comprehensive coordination ability between lines of jobs.
      This course is one of the core curriculums for student who is in major of Railway Traffic Operation Management. By learning this course, students can master the basic knowledge of railway station operation and the usage of train operation equipment, and get a clear picture about train receiving and departing procedure. By handling with emergency situations caused by equipment failures, students' cooperation and capability in teamwork can be greatly improved, thus prepared them to be a qualified station attendant in near future. 
      To begin with this course, the fundamental knowledge and skills for Railway Transport Equipment, Railway Operation Organization and Railway Signaling should have completed. As for further courses like Railway Operation Safety Management, this course is in no doubt building a milestone.
