课程介绍
本课程为全日制英语专业本科专业基础课程。在第二学年第二学期内完成《An Integrated English  Course》第四册6个单元课文内容的分析和讲解,其中包括对课后相关练习的分析和讲解。周学时数为4学时,课时数为64学时,其中讲授48学时,其他实践16学时,总4学分。

该课程教学目标是:通过密集型、高强度的综合语言训练,使学生的英语语言水平与能力达到中高级,从而使学生能在高年级阶段能顺利接受用中、英双语进行的专业课教学。该课程的教学直接影响到学生在高年级阶段的专业课学习,因此在整个专业课程体系中有着举足轻重的作用。

本课程本着理论和实践相结合的原则,结合外语专业低年级学生的特点,力争做到(1)根据外语专业低年级教学大纲规定的听、说、读、写诸方面的要求,进行语言训练,有计划地通过一年的教学,达到大纲中的各项指标。(2)对学生进行语言基本功训练,培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析,使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力。

具体要求:

1.课文要求:打好语言基本功,扩大知识面,加强对语篇文体的感性认识,并培养独立思考的能力。

2.词汇要求:向学生介绍新的词汇学习方法,从语境中学习新词,扩大词汇量。

3.语法要求:以课文中出现的语法现象为线索,加以引申和归纳,并配以练习。

4.口语要求:对大纲规定的语言功能项目,结合课文逐一进行训练,通过对话样段和与之相配的练习,提高学生会话和交际能力。

5.听力要求:按大纲要求进行听力训练。能基本听懂正常语速的英语新闻,适当做一些听写练习。要求能流利地用英语表达自己。

6.阅读要求:扩大阅读量,要求订阅一些英语原文杂志和期刊。基本掌握阅读的各种技巧。

7.写作要求:一是机械模仿,犹如练字中的“描红”,以样画葫芦,使学生加深对课文的理解。二是从句子到段落,由浅入深训练写作技能。

8.语音要求:强调实践,注重练习,理论上点到为止。
