(二)课程英文简介
Microeconomics is a compulsory specialist foundational course for students majoring in economics and management, and serves as the cornerstone for studying all other economics-related professional courses. Together with Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Political Economics, Microeconomics constitutes the fundamental curriculum system of economics.
Microeconomics encompasses the fundamental principles and thinking methodologies of modern Western economic theories, mainly encompassing three major sections: product pricing, factor pricing, and the further development of microeconomics. The theory of product pricing includes the basic principles of market supply and demand, theories of consumer behavior and producer behavior, as well as decision-making by individual firms in different market types. The theory of factor pricing explains issues related to income distribution in microeconomics. The further development of microeconomics primarily introduces market failures and microeconomic policies.
Microeconomics requires students to master the basic concepts and theories of modern Western economics, as well as the fundamental analytical methods employed in Western economics, laying a solid foundation for learning other specialized courses. The microeconomics curriculum emphasizes training students’ theoretical thinking abilities and innovative consciousness, nurturing their capacity to analyze and solve practical economic problems. Additionally, the curriculum places great importance on integrating knowledge content with ideological and political education, guiding students to establish correct outlooks on life, the world, and values. These teaching objectives are concretely and clearly reflected in various aspects, including teacher instruction, interactive discussions, and course assessment and evaluation.
