1.identify his/her writingpurpose and choose the corresponding methods to 

achieve it.

5.use writing as a powerful toolof thinking, learning and communicating.

The first three weeks are aimed at solvingone of the biggest problems

students have in writing: “I don’t   know what towrite about”and 

also “how to plan my writing”.

Students will learn effective argumentation,different ways of 

developing a paragraph, criteria of  a  successful paragraphand 

how to polish the writing.

These two weeks will focus on the revisingand editing of students’

writing.Besides learning to write,  we will alsodiscuss how to write 

to learn a language, how you can become a better readerand writer,

and introduce resources for English learning. 

The format of this course includes interactive

lecturing videos (average6 minutes length),

discussions with faculty and students,

interviews with professors,student presentation,

writing exercises and activities, directed 

metacognition, forum participation,peer

review, polls and surveys.
