课程介绍
The course of pattern making is arranged for students of clothing design and engineering specialty or fashion design specialty. It is one of the major courses and a required course, based on the course of structural designing theory of garment. Pattern making for fashion design is the study of human's garment structure design principles and the pattern making methods and skills, which is the foundation of clothing production. Patterns can be created with a two-dimensional piece of paper (for drafting) or with muslin (for draping). In this course, first, the students mainly study how to make the pattern, including the principles, methods and skills; Second, the students should grasp structure of main kinds of typical garments and fashion change rules; Finally, the students should develop the ability of product design and development.
