主要从事电力系统保护学科领域科研工作。
主持国家自然学科基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金青年项目、湖南省重点研发计划项目等10余项,项目研究成果已成功推广应用。入选长沙理工大学“湖湘学者”人才计划。团队已发表论文60余篇,其中SCI检索论文19篇;总被引量为321次,单篇最高被引用68次;EI检索论文42篇;获授权发明专利15项、实用新型专利9项。

现主持国家自然科学基金项目1项,教育厅优秀青年项目1项,国网公司科技项目8项。骨干成员参与多项国家级重点项目,获得国网经研体系进步二等奖。在IEEE Trans.等国内外重要刊物上以第一作者身份发表论文12篇,其中,TOP期刊3篇,最高他引次数合计超过100次。申请发明专利5项,合著著作《电力系统稳定性:建模、分析与控制》
