Course Description
This is a general comprehensive course designed to give students a comprehensive knowledge of the specialized business & administrative communications practices of Corporations as well as an understanding of how these companies can better meet the information needs of a diverse set of users and decision makers.
The Course Objective is to:
introduce students the fundamentals of Business and administrative communications concerns, necessary concepts associated Reporting and review of Business and Management Process. When this course is completed, all students should be fully conversant with the rudimentary skills associated with these topics. Specific instructional objectives will be outlined at the beginning of each class session.
The Core Competencies are to:
1. understand and apply core business fundamentals and accounting fundamentals;
2. think creatively and apply business management knowledge in innovative ways;
3. communicate professionally;
4. use information technology for research, decision making and problem solving;
5. write business research reports that incorporate qualitative and quantitative data analysis and integrate information from multiple sources;
6. identify ethical dilemmas and uphold professional responsibilities.
